Likhubula House Bursaries

Likhubula House Bursary Programme (LHBP) is an important legacy of our investment in Likhubula House. This is an investment in the education and vocational training of children in the Likhubula valley.  We invite all our guests, Malawian and international, to support local children through this fund. As little as £100 will cover one child’s secondary school fees, uniform and educational materials, and regular supervision and support from our staff, and a further £70 will cover their costs for participating in one of the Likhubula House leadership academies.  The same sum can provide a less academic child with an apprenticeship and a skill that will last them a lifetime.

So, if you want to do something to support the orphans and vulnerable children in the Likhubula Valley this is the best option for your philanthropy. Your money will be used for secondary school fees and educational expenses to enable poor children to achieve their fullest potential, and will also provide vocational training opportunities (including bee-keeping, fish farming and micro-agriculture) for those who cannot go on to secondary education. This is our investment in Malawi’s future, in her young people.

Within Malawi you can make your gift at Likhubula House. Or contact the Scottish Malawi Foundation, c/o Scottish Churches House, Dunblane FK15 0AJ.
